1) Be able to discuss the practical ways in which the RSNA Teaching File Software (MIRC) can be used in a radiology department. 2) Understand the challenges associated with implementing a web enabled digital teaching file at a departmental and enterprise level. 3) List some of the advantages of the RSNA’s Teaching File Software Suite in comparison to other approaches. 4) Discuss possible enhancements to this system based on practical experience from users.

There is an ever increasing dependency on the convenience of on-line access to digital educational material. The RSNA’s Teaching File Software Suite (MIRC) makes it easy to install and run a digital teaching file system, provide authoring services for the creation of teaching file content, and at the option of the individual or institution, allows users the ability to share portions of its teaching content with other users worldwide. This presentation will elaborate on how individual radiologists and institutions can use and implement the software suite in their daily clinical practice to create teaching and decision support content.
