There have been numerous described anatomic variants in musculoskeletal imaging which are often felt to have little or no clinical significance. We present several such conditions which can be a source of pain or other symptoms. Cases include the accessory navicular, os trigonum, os acromiale, accessory soleus, fabella syndrome and sesamoiditis. Epidemiology as well as correlation with plain film, CT and MRI is provided.
