1. To review the variable estabilished accessory fissures of lungs on CT 2. To demonstrate new accessory fissures on CT
  
 CONTENT ORGANIZATION
 
1. Old Acceossory Fissures -Azygos fissure -Superior accessory fissure -Inferior accessory fissure -Left minor fissure -Intersegmental fissures of middle and lower lobes 2. Neofissures -Upper lobectomy -Lower lobectomy 3. New Accessory fissures -Apical accessory fissure -Anterior accessory fissure
  
 SUMMARY
 
1. Accessory fissures, common variation of lungs, are clefts of varying depth lined by two visceral pleura. 2. We demonstrate two new accessory fissures are present in upper lobes, named as apical and anterior accessory fissure respectively. 3. Recognition of accessory fissures make the precized localization of the pulmonary disease and assists in differential diagnosis from pathological structures.
